I also think that Gough and Kilmer were able to vibe off of each other well throughout the film, which is nice to see.īatman Forever could have been great but tried to do too much which ended up making it a jumbled-up mess. It made him feel like an integral part of the story which is something his character was lacking in the previous two films. I loved seeing his relationship with Dick develop throughout the film. Michael Gough’s Alfred is at his best in this film. While Nicole Kidman does a good job portraying the role her dialogue can be absolutely ridiculous at times and serves little to nothing to the overall plot.

The film can’t decide whether it wants to be about the love story between Bruce Wayne and Chase Meridian, the villains’ ridiculous schemes, or Dick Grayson’s tragic backstory. Overall, Batman Forever is an absolute mess.
